Case Study One - Upgrade to Minimum Specification
While technological advances continue as they do, computer specifications must be regularly upgraded to meet the needs of everyday business. Replacing equipment can be a very expensive way of doing this.

Here’s how Centric provided a cost-effective solution to one such problem.

After supplying their Regional Sales team with portable computers 'Company A' found that, within time, their specification became insufficient to run the company applications. On provision of a list of users and the minimum specification required, we confirmed the current specifications, supplied the upgrade components and scheduled the upgrades at locations around the UK. At project completion we supplied the customer with a detailed report showing the user, the machine, its original specification and its new specification.

Case Study Two - Corporate Image Build
‘Company B’ needed to replace its entire desktop and laptop range to meet the technical specifications dictated by a new software package. After employing Centric Solutions to carry out the project they simply supplied us with a list of the machines to be replaced, together with an order for the replacements.  We did the rest.
Within the agreed timeframe Centric Solutions loaded the company’s standard image onto new computers, installed them, and configured them for the users. Data was transferred where necessary and users were trained on the new operating systems. At the end of the project the customer was provided with a full audit report listing each machine, serial number, user, passwords, etc.

Case Study Three - System Migration
‘Company C’, who ran a Windows NT 4 system needed to migrate to a Microsoft Windows NT 2003 system.

Limited in-house I.T. knowledge led them to ask Centric Solutions to supply the hardware and software, migrate the server and client machines, and to supply a new e-mail system. The migration was completed out of hours to eliminate business downtime, and the users returned on their next working day to a stable system running on the latest operating platform.
